Visionary environmental entrepreneur and Interface founder Ray Anderson, who steered the company's pioneering environmental trajectory after reading Paul Hawken's "The Ecology of Commerce" in 1994, died in Atlanta, leaving a lesson on how to inspire companies to embrace sustainable business practices and improve their bottom line in the process. Anderson received the ASID Design for Humanity Award in 2010. More

Member cards now offered via website

To support the ASID platform issue of sustainability, ASID no longer will print and mail membership cards for allied or professional members. Beginning Sept. 1, members can log in to and print a membership card 24 hours a day, 365 days a year — at their convenience. This process has been successful with ASID student and Industry Partner members, for which it has been in effect more than three years.

To print your card, log in to and select "Go to My ASID." Once there, select "Print Your ASID Membership card."
