The Case Against Paying Designers by the Hour
Fast Company's Co.Design

It's easy to fall into a "time trap" where clients equate time with value, which invariably ends with the question "Why will this take so long?" That gap in understanding can readily be solved by estimating the value of a design program in the client's own terms, based on values that reflect the client's particular business or industry.

Check Out 10 Artist-Designed Rugs
Architectural Digest
A departure from the common canvas, the rug as medium has long captured artists' attention. Henri Matisse's famous cutouts made their way into punchy rugs. Salvador Dalí channeled his surrealist spirit into fanciful floor coverings. And Wassily Kandinsky reworked his iconic "Small Worlds" compositions into colorful carpets. Now a new flock of artist-designed rugs proves that art need not be restricted to the wall.
