North Carolina State Partners with HQ Raleigh to Link

North Carolina State University's Office of Technology Transfer is opening an office suite at HQ Raleigh, a shared office space provider. North Carolina State wants to better link its entrepreneurial students and staff with the startup community, and HQ members will gain access to North Carolina State's expertise in transitioning university technology to the private sector as well as research and innovation.

SCRA, Tao Life Sciences License 1st Medical Device
GSA Business
SCRA and Tao Life Sciences announced the licensing of the first medical device resulting from their joint initiative aimed at accelerating the commercialization of university and industry laboratory life sciences technologies. The device, a tool that improves the placement and stabilization of chest drainage tubes, was the result of a yearlong Clemson University bioengineering senior design program that paired senior bioengineering students with clinicians from the community, Clemson faculty and corporate advisors.

Alabama Startup Company Receives $150,000 NSF Grant
The Crimson White
The National Science Foundation has awarded $150,000 to a University of Alabama startup company that is working to make a more effective and longer-lasting catalyst to be used in chemical reactions. Martin Bakker, Ph.D., a UA associate professor of chemistry, cofounded ThruPore Technologies with Franchessa Sayler, who earned her Ph.D. in analytical chemistry from the university in May.

This CLP Exam Review Course helps professionals prepare for the CLP exam.
