Cyclone Signs Commercialization Agreement with Ohio State

Cyclone Power Technologies Inc., developer of the all-fuel, clean-tech Cyclone Engine, announced that its Ohio subsidiary, Cyclone-WHE LLC, has signed a new agreement for testing/special services with The Ohio State University's prestigious Center for Automotive Research. Under this agreement and accompanying work order, CAR will play a key role in the next stages of commercialization and manufacturing of Cyclone's compact Waste Heat Engine.

Cellulosic Ethanol Requires Efficiently Collecting Corn Stover Bales
Farm & Ranch Guide
Corn stover experts have found ways to reduce the cost of bringing corn stover from the field to cellulosic ethanol plants. A study conducted by DuPont Cellulosic Ethanol and Iowa State University was able to reduce the cost of moving corn stover from $91 per ton to $52 per ton — a reduction of about 43 percent.

Wichita State Licenses Aerospace Simulation Technology to Local Business

As a result of its recent focus on innovation, Wichita State University signed its first licensing agreement with a staff-owned business entity. The agreement gives commercialization rights for aerospace simulation tools developed at the National Institute for Aviation Research to Vimotech, an independent company founded by Gerardo Olivares.

Grant to Aid Advances in Remote Sensing Tools for Climate Change

AUTM Releases STATT Update

A new update of the Statistics Access for Tech Transfer (STATT) interactive database has been released by AUTM. STATT provides a searchable compilation of U.S. and Canadian licensing survey data from 1991 through 2012, and now includes European data as well.

Version 3.51 improvements include:
  • State and province data now yields more accurate search results
  • Better column labels for spreadsheet exports
  • Table of Canadian/U.S. dollar exchange rates
  • User interface improvements

    The AUTM Licensing Activity Survey: FY2013 is now open for data collection. The survey will be collecting data through mid-April.

    The survey includes several new and interesting supplementary questions for 2013. Perhaps the most interesting involves listing your most important licensed products, processes or services; those that have had the greatest impact on society.
