    TAU Collaborates With IATA On Aviation Technology And Security
    The Jerusalem Post
    Tel Aviv University and the International Air Transport Association (IATA) announced that they signed a deal to collaborate on developing technology relevant to airplane and airport safety. The areas in which IATA and the Tel Aviv University will cooperate include big data, cyber security, authentication, security checks and general security.

    Oxford University Spin-off Aims For Tidal Power 'Fence' In Bristol Channel
    Global Construction Review
    Kepler Energy, a commercial spin-off from the University of Oxford’s department of engineering, is seeking $220 million in funding for a “fence” of energy-generating turbines in the Bristol Channel in western England. The first project would be to install a 1km barrier with a generating capacity of 30MW, although Kepler hopes to scale this up to 600MW over time.

    Investors Sought For Auckland University's Sapvax Cancer Vaccine Spin-out
    National Business Review
    Investors are being sought for US$8 million of funding to commercialize an anti-cancer vaccine using immunotherapy technology developed by a team led by Maurice Wilkins Centre director Rod Dunbar and Margaret Brimble, director of Auckland University's medicinal chemistry program. UniServices, the University of Auckland's commercial arm, is setting up the spin-out company, Sapvax, to commercialize the patented vaccines.

    New Durham Tech Startup Bringing Pharmacies Into Digital Age

    A start-up tech company that had its genesis on the University of Ontario Institute of Technology campus has hatched from the incubator and is hard-charging through to the next state in the evolutionary process of a fledgling business.

    “We’re going to be in a position to be a well-funded start-up. We’re exiting the introductory phase of a business and going into the early-growth phase,” said Spencer Turbitt, co-founder and CEO of iApotheca Healthcare Inc., a company offering custom software solutions for small- and medium-sized pharmacies, allowing them to digitize their businesses with user-friendly applications.
