In a recent issue of The New Yorker, Rana el Kaliouby, Affectiva's co-Founder and Chief Science Officer was featured in an article diving into the future of emotion analytics. The piece delved into a deep overview of the field of affective computing, and showcased Kaliouby and Affectiva as leaders in emotionally responsive technology. It's a great read on where Affectiva is going and how emotion analytics is not only a thriving technology used by business today, but one that's poised to be engrained for generations to come.

The 20 most eye-catching booths at CES 2015
TIME
ooVoo's interactive booth at CES was labeled as "the most fascinating display at the show" according to TIME. The display was a large, flip dot wall with Affdex facial coding and emotion analytics integrated. The wall would engage audience members' emotions as they approached it, and then ask people to step up and show an emotion. The wall then mimics and engages the viewer in real time with cartoon characters mirroring their emotions. Likened to the vintage flight displays that would shuffle through airports of the past, the giant wall was a considered "a visual marvel." In March, ooVoo will take the flip dot wall to Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

Going Global in 2015: 10 start-ups to watch

CNN lists Affectiva as one of 10 hot start-ups to watch in 2015: "Boasting the world's largest database of emotion analytics, the MIT offshoot has patented advanced face and emotion recognition software, and found lucrative applications. Advertizing, market research, entertainment and education are among the fields seeking to exploit the technology, which is also being launched on mobile."
