About:
Spalling concrete, corroded steel and large surface air pockets were present, the owners and architects wanted the building to look new.

Challenges:
Pre-cast panel manufactures were challenged by providing a uniform consistent finish of the deep colors chosen by the designers.

Solutions:
After the KEIM rep providing several mock-ups a color of Concretal Lasur pigmented stain was chosen for the pre-cast concrete elements.

Location:New York, NY
Challenges: The terra cotta was cleaned chemically — but still showed salts residues. The KEIM program included the requirement of salts remediation. Matching original color of terra-cotta was very important for the historic restoration.
Solutions: Salts remediation requirement. Calibrating the color and the appearance of the terra-cotta to meet historic appearance. Multiple color samples were required prior to approval.

The striking timeline photos of the National Veterans Memorial and Museum project in Columbus, Ohio, shows a cast concrete exterior. This outside concrete is being stained with KEIM Concretal Pigmented Mineral Stain to brighten it and add a transparent white color without hiding the concrete's integral texture.
