8 useful hotkeys and features for Windows 8.1

By introducing an OS that melds the traditional desktop computing experience with a mobile UI experience, Microsoft has signaled a transformational change in regards to daily computing with Windows 8.1.

While the traditional keystrokes such as CTRL + P (to print an activated document or image) still exist, I became enthusiastic around the new set of shortcuts which improved my day-to-day experience using Windows 8.1. The shortcuts and hotkeys that I discovered allow me to do more in less steps, thus freeing up my time, and in some cases memory and processor cycles, to simply do more.

Nova Scotia computer science students can now apply for the CIPS Nova Scotia Scholarship

CIPS Nova Scotia is pleased to invite applications for a $1000 scholarship available to candidates meeting the general qualifications. The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of overall academic merit with an emphasis on courses most relevant to computing science. Extracurricular, leadership and community involvement activities may also be considered.
