ICCP names Fellows
CIPS
At the 40th Anniversary of the ICCP - the society of Professional associations dedicated to certifying professionals in the computing industries, Dr. Lynn McKell was given the award of "Fellow of the ICCP" along with a posthumous award of fellowship for Fred Harris (ACM). Fred with John Swearingen (AITP), Paul Pair (AITP) and others were founders of the ICCP in 1973. Mike Maier (Coleman College) a former ICCP President was also in attendance at our celebration and he was also present at the original founding of the ICCP with Fred, John and Paul.

Cuba to increase unrestricted Internet access at new outlets

Cuba will begin offering broader Internet access next month through 118 outlets around the country, according to a decree in the government's Official Gazette, in a step long awaited by many Cubans. Jeff Dean joined Google in 1999 and is currently a Google Fellow in Google's Systems Infrastructure Group.
