After a review of global trends in professional certification programs, the CIPS National Board of Directors approved changes in March 2013 to the re-certification policies. Globalization and economic realities have made the I.T. job market highly competitive. New, cutting edge technologies become stale faster as development cycles speed up and newer products are released.

How IBM Watson may transform healthcare

Google asks to publish more government information
Boston.com
Google is asking the Obama administration to allow the Internet company to disclose more details about the U.S. government's closely guarded demands for emails and other information that people transmit online. The request was made in a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder and FBI Director Robert Mueller. Google is trying to debunk media reports that the company has created a way for the National Security Agency to gain access to large amounts of its users' online communications.
