By July 2016, eastbound motorists on Interstate 64/Highway 40 in St. Louis should be able to cross a new span of the Daniel Boone Bridge, while westbound traffic will travel across what is now the eastbound span. Construction of a new bridge to replace the aging and narrow westbound span, built in 1935, is expected to begin in the fall of 2012. The eastbound span, built in 1985, will remain intact. More
