DBIA seeks industry experts to help guide organizational transformation
DBIA    Share    Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
DBIA approaches our 20-year anniversary at a time when political and economic uncertainty is the norm and the pace of technological and social change has accelerated. While such an environment can create disillusionment with strategic planning, the DBIA board and staff leadership could not be more energized about the opportunities that lie ahead for the organization and, more importantly, the members we serve. Beyond examining our past and present and making informed assumptions about the future, we used our recent strategic planning process as an opportunity to more appropriately target DBIA resources, reshape programs and services and transform other critical aspects of our operations to set the stage for achieving the aggressive goals put forth. For more details of the plan, and to submit an application of interest to be part of the 2013 Industry Expert committee structure, see the DBIA website. More

Ottawa-area property available. 350 rooms. No view. That might as well have been the description of Ottawa's "Diefenbunker" an underground Cold War facility designed to withstand a nuclear attack, when it was put up for sale by the federal government in 1994. Initially purchased by the Township of West Carleton, it was sold for $2 in 1998 to a group of volunteers who continue to operate the facility as Canada's Cold War Museum. More
