Gov. Phil Scott signed a law to bolster Vermont’s sexual assault nurse examiner (SANE) program, housed at the Vermont Network Against Domestic and Sexual Violence in Montpelier.
Vermont’s sexual assault nurse examiners provide medical care and forensic evidence collection for individuals who report sexual assault, domestic violence and abuse.

Texas A&M University College of Nursing is happy to announce that it will begin accepting applications for its first class of MSN-Forensic Nursing students beginning September 1, 2017. The program features mostly online instructions (will need to be on campus 1-2 times), evidence-based curriculum, outstanding faculty, and affordable tuition. The DCH Health System is looking to establish a community sexual assault program which would be a first of its kind for Tuscaloosa County.
DCH Regional Medical Center would be just one partner in the forming of a sexual assault emergency response team for the area. The goal is to have as many resources as possible for the victim all at once.
