Keynote Address — Major General Jimmie O. Keenan, BSN, MS, ACHE

MG Keenan entered the Army as a Nurse Corps Officer in July 1986 and has enjoyed a variety of assignments all over the world during her twenty six-years with the Army. Over the last 6 years, she served as the Deputy Commander for Nursing, Dewitt Army Community Hospital, Fort Belvoir, Virginia; the Chief of Staff, U.S. Army Warrior Transition Command, at the Pentagon; and Commander, Evans U.S. Army Community Hospital, Fort Carson. She just recently assumed command of the U.S. Army Public Health Command and is serving concurrently as the Chief of the U.S. Army Nurse Corps.

Presenter handouts for the Scientific Assembly

For those of you who are registered for this year's Assembly in Puerto Rico, the session handouts are posted in the 20th Annual Scientific Assembly Community Library. All of the handouts are organized under the day of the week that the session will take place at the Assembly and then under the title of the actual session.
    For example:
    The handouts for Sexual Assault According to Who? is under the Wednesday's folder. In an effort to save paper, I am encouraging attendees to print out the presenter handouts prior to their arrival in Puerto Rico. I will continue to add more handouts as they become available.

IAFN Scientific Assembly Evaluation

Please follow these steps when evaluating Assembly sessions for CE credit:
  • Access the Evaluation website at: http://data.express-evaluations.com/eval/37270/web/main.php
  • Login with your username (registration email) and password (IAFN). Please note the password is all lowercase.
  • First complete the demographic section, then the overall evaluation, and last the individual session evaluations.
Your contact hours will automatically be calculated based on the sessions that you evaluate. Print your CE certificate!

It is with great respect and pride that the members of the nominating committee submit the following members (listed in alphabetical order) for the IAFN Board of Directors and Nominating Committee November ballot. Online elections will occur November 1-30, 2012. Voting members will be emailed their unique login credentials to the election website on November 1st. More detailed bios will be presented at the Annual Assembly and online shortly.
