Full Sail Scholarship Recipient Graduates from Full Sail
IGDA
James Burns, the winner of the IGDA Full Sail Scholarship in 2012, has earned his degree from Full Sail and is ready to start his career in the game industry. Burns was awarded the scholarship in 2012 and went on to become class Salutatorian while working for his Bachelor's in Science in Game Development.

Event Highlight: IGDA Leadership Track at SIEGE 2014

This year's second annual IGDA Leadership track is the perfect addition to our growing conference. The International Game Developer Association leadership forums and summits have been some of the most valuable events in the game industry, and the IGDA Leadership Track at SIEGE is the first of these events in the southern US. Some of the panel topics include:
    "Beating the Biggest Boss: Landing a Job in the Games Industry": This panel will answer all questions about how to land your first industry job from those hiring you! Panelists include representatives from Hi-Rez, Tripwire, and Xaviant.

    "One on One with Dorian Kieken: Mass Effect & Managing AAA Teams": Drawing from his experience in the Mass Effect franchise, Dorian Kieken is a great addition to the IGDA Leadership Track at SIEGE. He will be discussing managing AAA teams at Bioware Montreal in this unique one on one Q&A session with Keith Fuller.

Researchers from Florida State University ran a study comparing Portal 2 with Lumosity, a popular brain-training game that's sold as a brain workout. After eight hours' worth of play, Portal 2 players showed more improvement in a few different standard cognitive skill tests than Lumosity players.

Holder Jr. said new forms of encryption capable of locking law enforcement officials out of popular electronic devices imperil investigations of kidnappers and sexual predators, putting children at increased risk.
