Nepal drafts new laws to recriminalize gay sex, stall same-sex marriage recognition

Today, the LGBTI community faces fresh opposition as the law ministry under law and justice minister Narahari Acharya of the ruling Nepali Congress is seeking to enact punitive laws to recriminalize gay sex, Sunil Pant, the country's first openly gay politician and former member of parliament, told Gay Star News in an email.

Delaware's gay marriage boom may ebb

More than 2,000 gay and lesbian couples got married in Delaware when the state's same-sex marriage law took effect in July 2013. It was a wedding boom that made Sussex County's marriage bureau run a surplus in 2013, for the first time in years, as many gay couples availed themselves of the sand-underfoot weddings straight partners have made popular here.

Relief planned for Mexico City with new airport

Mexico City is home to Latin America's second-busiest airport, and it is about ready to burst as pressure mounts on infrastructure amid growing airline traffic. But plans are afoot to bring relief with a new airport capable of meeting the demands of the future. The Mexican government announced recently that it has been reviewing designs for a new airport to replace the existing Benito Juarez International Airport, which opened in 1931.

Travel agents booking vacations for early 2015 and beyond

In a sign of strengthening demand, vacations are being booked early for next year and even 2016, according to agents who attended Travel Weekly's Global Travel Marketplace conference. The booking window is noticeably longer this year than it has been in the past, several agents said during the conference, held last month at the Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa.
