Uganda Tourism promise safety for gay people
So So Gay
In a move likely to be seen by many as a poor attempt at humor, Uganda Tourism and business leaders have promised their country is safe for LGBT people to travel to, in a meeting with the International Gay & Lesbian Travel Association. Accusing the Western media of portraying their nation in a particularly poor light since the introduction of the "anti homosexuality" law, which was struck down earlier this year, IGLTA's President John Tanzella said the delegates had requested the meeting as an attempt to restore their reputation, both among gay and straight travelers.

The Wall Street Journal

Now, India's government is asking the justices to reconsider some aspects of their judgment. The government — led by the conservative Bharatiya Janata Party, which has deep roots in the country's Hindu nationalist movement — said in an application to the Supreme Court that the transgender ruling "may pose problems both practically and politically" and asked for clarifications and changes.
