Bylaws vote opens today

We hope you've been following the updates about proposed changes to the association's bylaws. The IGLTA board proposes that the organization makes the transition from an elected volunteer board to an appointed volunteer board. Please visit www.iglta.org/bylaws/faqs/ for links to the bylaws, proposed changes and other pertinent information. Voting will close on 20 October at 12:15 a.m. EDT.

Each member will receive an email from iglta@ballotboxonline.com to cast their vote. This email will contain a secure link to vote, unique to each voter. You then will be prompted to create a password for the voting site; this password is unique to the voting site and is not the same password used to access www.iglta.org. After creating your password you will be able to cast you ballot.

If you encounter any difficulties or do not receive your voting link, please contact votingsupport@iglta.org. For more information on voting security, visit www.ballotboxonline.com.

Join us 11 October from 5-7 p.m. for a networking reception at the Fairmont Empress Hotel in Victoria, British Columbia, to celebrate the Third Annual Travel Gay Canada LGBT Tourism Conference. This reception, sponsored in part by the Fairmont Empress Hotel, Tourism Victoria and Travel Gay Canada, will provide an opportunity for those involved within the tourism industry to come together, network, and hear about IGLTA's initiatives from IGLTA Chair Tanya Churchmuch. All IGLTA members are invited to attend. Those interested in additional information on the LGBT travel market may attend an educational session hosted by IGLTA and Travel Gay Canada prior to the reception. The session is complimentary to IGLTA members; nonmembers $25. RSVP required for both.
