From Aug. 21: IGLTA issued the following statement to the press on Aug. 16: "IGLTA and our IGLTA Foundation join our members and allies to express our deep concern with Russia's attempts to silence and isolate LGBT citizens and their allies. This repression is no different than that of any other nation that violates human rights — such as Uganda, Cameroon, Zimbabwe or Jamaica — and puts LGBT people, our families and friends in harm's way.
