You may have unclaimed money or property
Each year, state governments receive information from businesses about money (unclaimed property) that has not been received by customers, such as from uncashed checks, abandoned accounts, and more.
The National Association of Unclaimed Property Administrators (NAUPA) provides information on how businesses can see if they have unclaimed property and how they can go about claiming it. NAUPA provides a link to each state's database. Here is a direct link to the Kansas site: http://www.kansascash.com/prodweb/up/unclaimed-property.php.
