Supreme Court rules in favor of protecting pregnant women in the workplace
TIME
Companies that provide special treatment for a large percentage of their injured workers should do the same for pregnant women, the Supreme Court decided recently. In a 6-3 decision, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of former UPS employee Peggy Young, who challenged a company policy that did not allow her to take on lighter duties during her pregnancy, even though the company provided alternative work to some employees with injuries or other circumstances that prevented them from doing their regular jobs.

Study: If you use Internet Explorer, you just might be a bad employee
By Cait Harrison
What defines a great employee? Persistence, attention to detail, a drive to succeed? The list could go on, but here's a new addition you likely won't find on a resume —choice of Internet browser. How much do references matter in a job interview?
Fortune
Job interviews go both ways. Employers certainly need to probe, but exceptional candidates know how to manage the overall interview process themselves. 5 networking mistakes that keep you from getting ahead
TIME
Every single roundup of career advice out there talks about the importance of networking. Less talked-about but just as important is doing it correctly. You might think you're doing all the right things by hanging out near the boss at the sales retreat or passing out your business card to everybody you meet at the trade show reception — but in reality, bad networking techniques can do as much damage to your career as not networking at all.

Recruiting isn't hard — we make it hard
Forbes
Liz Ryan writes: I have sympathy and compassion for every living creature but my patience is wearing thin with the plaint, "It's so hard to find good employees!" It isn't hard. There are tremendous people everywhere. We make recruiting 10 times harder than it needs to be. I ran a Fortune 500 HR team. How did we hire thousands of people? We had amazing managers and HR people, for one thing. We had tremendous employees in every department who brought their friends to work and got paid for it and got other benefits.

10 jobs with the highest gender pay gaps
USA Today
It's mind-boggling that decades after the signing of the Equal Pay Act of 1963, women still earn less than their male counterparts, and recent research suggests the problem will be sticking around for quite a long time. The pay gap between men and women has continued to narrow, but it's happening at a snail's pace. A recent report from the Institute for Women's Policy Research predicts American women won't see equal pay until 2058 if progress continues at its current rate.

Fast Company
As human beings, we're naturally curious and desire to have our questions answered. But there's one area of questioning that overwhelms most of us with anxiety: asking for feedback. How to run a great virtual meeting
Harvard Business Review
Virtual meetings don't have to be seen as a waste of time. In fact, they can be more valuable than traditional face-to-face meetings.
