Government relations update: NATO urges redefinition of 40 hour work week under ACA
NAC
The National Association of Theatre Owners (NATO) is asking its members and members of other trade groups such as NAC to contact their lawmakers regarding this important issue.
The letter to lawmakers found at the hyperlink can be edited, and NATO encourages you to do so. To send, simply enter your zip code to identify your Member of Congress, provide your contact information, and click the "Send Message" button. The House is expected to begin debate on H.R. 2575 tomorrow, April 2, 2014, with a possible vote shortly thereafter. This important legislation would repeal the ACA's 30-hour per week full-time employee definition and replace it with a 40-hour per week full-time employee definition.

After decades, coconut oil re-emerges as a cooking trend
By Katy Bynum
For years, coconut oil was the go-to choice in many North American homes and commercial kitchens — used by the home baker for superior-tasting, flaky pie crusts and by the restaurant chef for deep-frying foods. That lasted until about 1980 when several national agricultural associations began a campaign against coconut oil. They persuaded the country that the polyunsaturated fats from vegetable oils, such as soybean or corn oil, were a better choice for frying. That resulted in the near-demise of coconut oil. But coconut oil is once again surging in popularity.

Increase your Facebook reach without paying for advertising
By Mayur Kisani
It is getting harder and harder for businesses on Facebook to reach their audiences. According to Facebook, it is due to the increase in the amount of content, the increasing number of businesses building a presence on the site and an effort to crack down on spam. But many also believe that Facebook has decreased the reach of pages in order to make businesses pay for promoted posts and advertisements, thus increasing revenue for Facebook. So just like everything online, there are a few ways that might help increase your reach on Facebook without having to pay for promoted posts or ads.
