US Senate backs creation of 'National Science Week'!
Earlier this month, the Chemical Educational Foundation® (CEF) was excited to see the passage of U.S. Senate Resolution 329, which expresses support for the biennial USA Science & Engineering Festival in Washington, D.C. and designates the last week of April 2014 as "National Science Week."

The USA Science & Engineering Festival is the country's only national science festival. It was developed to increase public awareness about the importance of science and to encourage youth to pursue careers in science and engineering by celebrating science the way that we celebrate professional athletes and pop stars. Members of Congress, the Obama administration and numerous federal agencies will be among those participating in the festival and supporting National Science Week.

By Mel Kleinman

What seems to have escaped the modern media machine in its zeal to define this influential generation is that they don't appreciate being shoehorned and typecast. Particularly when it comes to the thing employers have come to count on them for — facilitating technology's integration into the workplace.
