Network better without business cards
A business card is a simple tool for sales or marketing, and, like any tool, it should be used with intent. But most people force cards on others, who accept out of politeness. Worse, some just throw their cards around like confetti, hoping that others will keep them and someday call. But they don't. They get home and throw them aside or put the info in their contact list and forget the people who passed on the card in the first place.

The crucial career choices we make every day
By Mike Wokasch
Many of us are in a work routine where we get up, go to work, do our job and go home. Market your job opening to attract the best candidates
For well-known companies, attracting top talent can be as easy as tweeting, "We're hiring!" and watching the applications pour in. But relatively unknown small businesses and startups often find it more difficult to get job seekers interested in opportunities. Instead of having an immediate influx of well-qualified applicants to choose from, as many larger enterprises do, startups may have to wait months for the right candidate to come along.
