NACD sponsors local You Be The Chemist Challenge®!
Grade 5-8 students in Fairfax County, Va., will take part in their local You Be The Chemist Challenge® on Feb. 22 thanks to the generous sponsorship of NACD, as well as the Chemical Society of Washington and Marymount University. Students in Fairfax County who have qualified to the challenge will face off to answer questions about chemistry, lab safety and important scientific discoveries. Top finishers will advance to the Virginia State Challenge in April. While the Chemical Educational Foundation® (CEF) oversees the challenge program, challenge sponsors make these local, state and national events possible, allowing tens of thousands of students each year to fall in love with chemistry.

They are known as "digital natives," and we joke that the "Z" stands for zombies as they are rarely away from their devices.
