Learn the steps your company must take to meet the implementation deadlines for the new rule to align the Hazard Communication Standard with the United Nations' Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals. Emily Walter, regulatory specialist for ICC Compliance Center will review the upcoming GHS deadlines and provide information on how to meet these deadlines, as well as the relationships and conflicts between the new GHS system and other regulations and agencies including U.S. Department of Transportation labeling, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency reporting, and Consumer Product Safety Commission rules and requirements. The Chemical Educational Foundation® congratulates the 2012 Georgia You Be The Chemist Challenge® winner (sponsored by Deeks & Company; Georgia Institute of Technology; & KITES, Inc.) and national You Be The Chemist Challenge participant, Nilai Sarda on his third place finish in the 2013 Jeopardy! Teen Tournament. In addition to Nilai's successes at the Challenge and on Jeopardy!, he was also the first runner-up in the 2011 National Geographic Bee.

Nilai has aspirations of one day becoming an engineer. CEF is certain he will make a great one and wishes him the best of luck in his future endeavors!
