Chemical Educational Foundation & The Franklin Institute conduct professional development workshops
Following a successful two-part Essential Elements educator professional development workshop for grade K-4 educators held in February in Philadelphia, the Chemical Educational Foundation® & The Franklin Institute have decided to team up once again, catering this two-part workshop to grade 5-8 educators. Part one of this workshop, which is sponsored by The Dow Chemical Company, was held on Monday, March 11. The first session yielded a high turnout as educators were walked through the 5E constructivist learning cycle approach to teaching, while performing exciting activities from CEF's Fourth Edition You Be The Chemist® Activity Guides. The final portion of the 5-8 workshop is set to take place this coming Monday, March 18. Look for pictures from the event on CEF's Facebook page!
