    Michigan Teacher Wins CEF Earth Day Challenge!
    Second grade teacher Dawn Chartier at Midland, MI's Bullock Creek Elementary submitted the winning entry to CEF's 2015 Earth Day Challenge video contest, a competition for K-8 classes that encourages students to explore their world using chemistry. Chartier's class created a video titled "Chemistry Is Not a Mystery," in which they filmed themselves performing a variety of hands-on activities in the classroom to learn how chemistry is everywhere! You can view the winning video on CEF's website!

    With the $1,000 prize money from the competition, Chartier plans to purchase technology and iPad apps that will enable her to connect science concepts and activities with the second grade reading, writing and math curricula.
