NACD Members to Congress: It's Time to Modernize TSCA and Reform the STB
Nearly 90 NACD members descended on Capitol Hill recently for the annual Washington Fly-In, making the case for modernizing legislation that impacts chemical distributors and the more than 750,000 end-users they serve. During this two-day event, members met with approximately 130 congressional offices as well as with representatives from the Environmental Protection Agency, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and the Department of Transportation. Attendees relayed to policymakers the importance of modernizing the Toxic Substances Control Act and reforming the Surface Transportation Board, issues addressed by two pivotal pieces of legislation currently before Congress.
