NACD Requests Administrative Stay on OSHA HCS Rule
Today, NACD sent a letter and supplemental information to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration asking for an immediate, short-term administrative stay through Dec. 1 regarding the agency's enforcement of its Hazard Communication Standard rulemaking for companies' chemical products previously labeled and stored in their existing inventory.     NACD Members Invited to Chemical Industry Outreach Workshop
    The Philadelphia Division of the FBI and the Pennsylvania Governor's Office of Homeland Security has extended an invitation to NACD members to an improvised explosive workshop at Ursinus College on Wednesday, May 20, or Monday, June 8, for the region's first responders, law enforcement, chemical industry and academia personnel. This workshop is part of the FBI's National Improvised Explosive Familiarization initiative designed to raise the awareness of the use of common chemicals to produce improvised explosives. According to CareerBuilder's annual social media recruitment study, the number of employers taking to the Web to research applicants has steadily risen over the past few years — from 39 percent of employers in 2013 to 43 percent last year to this year's 52 percent.
