Previous Years' Champions to Attend This Year's National YBTC Challenge!
Need another reason to register for the 2014 National You Be The Chemist Challenge®? Here's one: to celebrate the program's 10th anniversary, this year's National Challenge will be attended by 2005 National Champion Maggie Leake and 2011 National Champion Andrew Lingenfelter.

Maggie is currently a student at Mississippi University for Women, where she is double majoring in chemistry and math. She will spend her summer conducting computerized chemistry research related to the prevention of Alzheimer's disease. Andrew is a rising high school senior and was a 2012 competitor at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair. He is in the process of applying to top science universities, where he wants to study physics. Both Maggie and Andrew will speak at the 2014 National Challenge Celebration Dinner about the impact of the Challenge on their lives.
