New Blog Post: CFATS Legislation Passed in House Clearly Demonstrates NACD's Grassroots Presence
Recently, the House approved legislation that would provide a three-year authorization for the Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards program, which aims to safeguard chemical facilities from the threat of terrorist attacks. As our members know, CFATS legislation approval has been one of NACD's highest priorities in 2014. One of the leading contributors to this bill's passing was the effective grassroots support by NACD member companies encouraging their lawmakers to vote "yes."

CEF Hosts Professional Development Workshop in Charleston
On July 16, the Chemical Educational Foundation® will hold a professional development workshop for 20 K-8 teachers in the Charleston County (SC) School District. Through CEF's You Be The Chemist® Essential Elements program, workshop participants will gain valuable experience with hands-on, interactive teaching methods proven to get young scientists buzzing about chemistry.
