NACD to preside over International Chemical Association
Share   Share on FacebookTwitterShare on LinkedinE-mail article
The National Association of Chemical Distributors will preside over the International Council of Chemical Trade Associations for a two year term, which began on July 1, Mat Brainerd, chairman of Brainerd Chemical Co., Inc., and NACD's treasurer will serve as the ICCTA president and Chris Jahn, NACD president, will serve as ICCTA secretary.

Established in 1991, ICCTA represents the interests of over 1500 chemical distributors world-wide. ICCTA was set up to coordinate work on issues and programs of international interest across chemical trade associations. ICCTA provides a platform where chemical distributors from many different sectors can meet and exchange information and best practices. ICCTA also advocates for its members on a global scale.

NACD has participated in ICCTA for more than 15 years. As a member participant, NACD shares information about its Responsible Distribution program and metrics with the global community with other ICCTA associations.

Brainerd and Jahn will share relevant resources with ICCTA member associations, but noted that the first step is for the ICCTA associations to commit to a third-party verification program like Responsible Distribution.

For more information about ICCTA, go to http://iccta.org/.
