Why Humble Leaders Inspire Loyal Teams
Humility means accurately assessing our abilities, acknowledging our limits and keeping our accomplishments in perspective. Although some see humility as weakness, science is quite clear: Humble people are more successful than their overconfident counterparts. They have higher self-esteem, more dedicated work teams, stronger leadership skills and they perform better at work. Humility is even more valuable for those in power. One researcher aptly observed that a humble CEO is "a genius with a thousand geniuses."

How Do You Track Employee Engagement? Ask Engaging Questions
    By Michael J. Berens
Lack of employee engagement continues to be a major problem for many businesses. Engaged employees are not only enthusiastic about their work, but they are also purpose-driven and committed to helping their companies succeed. When employees do not feel engaged, their productivity lags, and they tend to be less responsive to management, their fellow employees and customers. Tracking employee engagement is critical, therefore, to good management.

The Best Managers Are Boring Managers
    Harvard Business Review
What would the perfect robot manager be like? Looks aside, it would arguably be objective, transparent, unselfish, and apolitical. Because of this, it would assign the right task to every person and reward unselfish team behaviors, creating a culture of trust and keeping morale high. It would monitor individual and team performance with the precision of the best quantified-self app, and provide real-time feedback to boost everybody's productivity. Undoubtedly, it would operate according to data rather than intuition and make only evidence-based recommendations. In short, the perfect robot manager would be utterly predictable — and completely boring. And yet dullness is not how most organizations choose managers today.
