EPA Denies NACD's Request for Extension of RMP Comment Deadline

Certain New Chemicals; Receipt and Status Information
Federal Register
EPA is required under the Toxic Substances Control Act to publish in the Federal Register a notice of receipt of a premanufacture notice; an application for a test marketing exemption, both pending and/or expired; and a periodic status report on any new chemicals under EPA review and the receipt of notices of commencement to manufacture those chemicals.

Significant New Use Rule on Certain Chemical Substances: Correction

EPA issued final significant new use rules (SNURs) in the Federal Register of Sept. 2 for 36 chemical substances that were the subject of premanufacture notices (PMNs). For the chemical substance identified generically as diisocyanate terminated polycarbodiimide (PMN P-04-640), EPA inadvertently omitted the de minimus exemption from the worker protection requirements.
