NACD, ACC Issue Statement on Enhancing Safety and Industry Performance

The American Chemistry Council (ACC) and the National Association of Chemical Distributors (NACD) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) stressing the importance of implementation of their mutual industry performance programs, namely Responsible Care and Responsible Distribution. Both programs are membership requirements and require third party verification.

NACD Releases Membership and Safety Report Demonstrating Increased Growth and Safety

According to the 2014 Membership & Safety Report released at NACD's 43rd Annual Meeting, members drove more than 140 million miles to deliver 50 tons of products every minute in 2013. The report showed a reduction in OSHA recordable cases to 549, from 594 the previous year, demonstrating the industry's continued commitment to safety.

U.S.-NAFTA Freight Jumps 8.2 Percent from Year Earlier
