Message from the NFAIS Executive Director:

Marcie Granahan,
NFAIS Executive Director
Welcome to the inaugural issue of NFAIS Advances! This new service is one part of our ongoing effort to provide more avenues for NFAIS members to discover and share relevant, timely information about the information services industry.

NFAIS Advances, to be distributed every two weeks to your in-box, will contain fresh articles and content about news, trends and the people in information services. In addition, each newsletter issue will include the NFAIS Career Center's current set of job opportunities, giving NFAIS members a seamless way to advance their careers and take advantage of professional development opportunities.

We're also delighted to invite NFAIS members to post comments, opinions, and new information into a dedicated NFAIS member forum called NFAIS Advances Community Forum. Just click here and spur new, meaningful interactions with your peers and colleagues on the topics of the day relevant to information services.

We hope you enjoy reading this first issue of NFAIS Advances. We very much welcome your feedback on ways we can make this service most helpful to you. Please also feel free to forward this newsletter to your friends and colleagues - we hope this serves as another way to drive meaningful networking opportunities with your peers.
