2014 NHSCA High School National Wrestling Championships wrap-up

It was a record-breaking weekend at the 25th annual National High School Coaches Association's High School National Wrestling Championships in Virginia Beach, Va. Aside from the record number of competitors — 3,367 — that took part in the three-day event, two wrestlers entered the exclusive four-time NHSCA champion club.

Harrington, Thomsen claim NHSCA national titles

Multi-time state wrestling champions Marcus Harrington and Max Thomsen returned home from the East Coast with some national hardware to add to their trophy cases. The two local standouts each captured championships in their first appearance at the National High School Coaches Association National Wrestling Championship in Virginia Beach, Va.

Manes wins national lifting championship

Adding to an ever-growing list of athletic accomplishments, Nevada High School junior Taylor Manes has a new title to add to his athletics resume — National Champion. At the National High School Powerlifting Meet, Manes won the 181-pound division.
