Bayou Pawn on Main Street is a new concept in pawn brokerage
Zachary POST
"The old image of pawnshops has certainly been upgraded by the pawnbroker reality TV shows," Jeffery Knight, manager of Bayou Pawn in Zachary, told the Zachary POST. "We keep our store clean and brightly lit as you would any retail store." "From day one, our attitude has been to be a service to the people who come through our doors. Our ideal customer is one who comes in with an item of value, we make him a fair loan on the item and within 30-90 days he has paid off the loan and takes his item of value home. Keeping someone’s item of value is a last legal resort for us, and happens only after we give people repeated opportunities to redeem their item of value."
