An Immokale, Fla., man is accused of stealing $285 worth of automotive tool from the Immokalee Technical Center and then pawning it illegally, according to Collier County Sheriff's Office. Robert Matusiak, 24, was arrested by Collier deputies on charges of retail theft between $100 and $300, four felony counts of dealing in stolen property and four felony counts of defrauding a pawnbroker for pawned items less than $300. A woman convicted of first-degree murder for serving as plotter and getaway driver in a Richfield, Minn., pawnshop robbery that left a customer dead was sentenced to life in prison. Before Rosalyn McDonald-Richards, 58, was given the mandatory life term, she told District Judge Daniel Mabley that she was remorseful, although she maintained she didn't know she was committing a crime. State Council of the People's Republic of China to regulate
pawn business

The State Council issued a draft regulation on the management of pawnshops to adapt to the fast development of China's pawnbroking business, according to an announcement by the Ministry of Commerce, the China Securities Journal reported. The regulation says the establishment of pawnshops should get approval from provincial commerce departments, and pawnbroking business should be managed as a special trade. More
