Apple demos 'Activation Lock' security feature in iOS 7

We've heard quite a bit about iOS 7 at WWDC — in fact, the company made it clear there's still more to talk about. But despite having tons of new features to share, Apple set aside some time to walk through a new security utility, called Activation Lock. In essence, it is what it sounds like: if someone steals your phone and chooses to disable Find My iPhone, he won't be able to reactivate the phone. Same if they wipe the phone — they'll be forced to sign in with your Apple ID and password, which they obviously wouldn't know.

Court rejects appeal from gun dealers

Obama administration efforts to monitor gun trafficking of certain semi-automatic firearms along the U.S. border into Mexico received court approval amid complaints from gun dealers it violated their rights. A federal appeals court in Washington said the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms can require the four southern border states -- California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas-- to report multiple sales of certain guns.

Arkansas AG announces lawsuit against Texarkana pawnshop

Arkansas Attorney General Dustin McDaniel filed a consumer protection lawsuit against a Texarkana-based pawnshop that allegedly violated state law by charging excessive interest rates on title loans. Tri-State Pawn of Texarkana Inc. allegedly assessed illegally high interest rates on auto-title loans made with Arkansans.
