Ohio pawnshop owner arrested in buying/receiving stolen property operation

A raid at Moraine City Pawn and a search of the owner's Ohio home in Kettering have culminated in the arrest of the owner and the recovery of items believed to have been stolen from area retail outlets. The raid on the shop and search of owner Jeff Rich's home occurred Wednesday, July 30. Moraine police said they believe the theft-sell-buy operation involves hundreds of thousands of dollars.

EZCorp posts Q3 profit, projects higher Q4 earnings in light of big changes

EZCorp Inc. reported a third-quarter profit of $12.3 million, or 21 cents per share, on revenue of $241.3 million compared with a loss of $4.4 million, or 11 cents per share, on revenue of $235.1 million during the same period last year. EZCorp, which was founded in 1989, operates pawnshops and provides consumer loans and fee-based credit services. It employs about 7,800 workers, of which about 400 are based at the Austin, Texas, headquarters.

Father, son charged in violent Roseville, Minnesota, robbery
