Gun dealers on 'high alert' in Alabama community

Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms Investigators and Muscle Shoals Police in Alabama continue to sort through leads and tips in a pawnshop burglary, dozens of guns were stolen. For the second day in a row, entrance doors to The Pawn Shop in Muscle Shoals have been locked. Owners of the business say they are continuing to inventory the guns, trying to determine what was stolen during a weekend burglary. More

Hackers increasingly going after small business

Hackers are focusing more on small businesses than ever before, with more than a third of targeted attacks aimed at companies with fewer than 250 employees, says a new report. The percentage of attacks on small business in the first six months of 2012 is double that of the same period in 2011, according to the report from security software provider Symantec. More

Pos Malaysia launches Islamic pawnshop service

Pos Malaysia Berhad today launched an Islamic pawnshop service under the brand, Ar-Rahnu@POS which complies with syariah requirements for customers to exchange jewellery for cash. Information, Communications and Culture Deputy Minister, Datuk Maglin Dennis D'Cruz said the service would benefit the public, especially low-income earners and petty traders. More
