South Carolina store owner says bank accounts closed because he sells guns
The Daily Caller
A South Carolina pawnshop owner who sells guns, guitars and an array of other items says that his bank forced him to close his accounts, and he thinks it is because of the weapons. Morris Williams, who owns Inman Gun and Pawn, says he thought his relationship with SunTrust Bank was fine — "excellent" in fact.

Pawnshops angry with SunTrust Bank

Several pawnshops in Western North Carolina and the Upstate are upset with SunTrust bank, after they received letters forcing them to close their accounts within 30 days. Roger Brown of Hunter's Treasures in Black Mountain, says he's banked at the same place for 23 years.

Jackson, Wyoming, pawnshop closes after 24 years

For 24 years, Graham and Dorothy Mercer have loaned hundreds of thousands of dollars to valley residents — if they had something to leave as collateral. Aug. 9 was the last day their Alpine Pawn Shop in Jackson, Wyoming, was open and their "guard dog" Pomeranian Jack cuddled up to customers.

Those who deal in precious metals or gems must now obtain a special permit from Forsyth County, Georgia. During a meeting, the commission signed off on a new ordinance regulating those who engage in the purchase of precious metals such as platinum, gold and silver and gems from anyone other than manufacturers or their representatives.
