More than 100 instruments donated to DC Virgo Preparatory

It was an exciting day for several New Hanover County school students as more than 100 instruments were donated to D.C. Virgo Preparatory Academy. National Pawn Owner Bob Moulton help make that happen along with giving the school 2,000 to off set future repair and maintenance costs to their instruments.

Bloomfield, New Mexico, pawnshop owners reluctantly plan to retire

Bloomfield Pawn Shop owners Terry and Beverly Higgins have enjoyed being pawnbrokers for nearly 50 years in New Mexico. But as they both near 80 years old, they have finally begun to pare down their shop's inventory with hopes of selling the business by the end of this year.

Austin, Texas, pawn chain acquires rival, expands presence in 2 states

EZCorp Inc. has expanded its presence two western states with the acquisition of a small chain of pawnshops. The acquisition of 13 USA Pawn & Jewelry Co. stores gives Austin-based EZCorp a presence in Arizona and Oregon, where the stores are located. According to company officials, the acquisition makes EZCorp the second-largest pawnshop operator in Arizona.

    A diamond's journey from mine to market never leaves North America

    The story of this diamond begins on a barren patch of land in Arkansas and is expected to end in Dallas. In between, there are stops in Central Canada, Los Angeles and Las Vegas. The rarity of this journey isn't only about where the gem is going but where it doesn’t go and how it gets there. Bobbie Oskarson of Longmont, Colorado, found an 8.52-carat rough white diamond at Crater of Diamonds State Park in Arkansas, which she named "Esperanza" (Spanish for "hope") for her niece.
