Gold declines as Obama seeking Syria delay reduces haven demand

Gold prices fell to the lowest in almost three weeks after President Barack Obama asked Congress to delay a vote on U.S. military action against Syria, diminishing demand for haven assets. Obama said he would prefer a peaceful solution to the Syrian conflict and that he saw "encouraging signs" of diplomacy ending the confrontation.

Sheriff: South Carolina pawnshop caught selling counterfeit jerseys

A York County, S.C., pawnshop was caught selling counterfeit goods, authorities say. The authorities raided the Palmetto Pawn Shop. Inside they found dozens of fake NFL and NBA jerseys, as well as other high end clothes from brands like True Religion and Versace.

City Pawn Shop leaves downtown Montgomery, Ala., after 69 years

For the first time in 69 years, there's no City Pawn Shop in downtown Montgomery, Ala. Its new store offers more space, which owner Barry Ehrlich said allows him to handle larger items. … He said that downtown is "forever changing" but that he felt the current direction was more focused on entertainment than a retail businesses like his, so when the time came to move, he said a fond farewell to the downtown area.
