Northern Tennessee community passes new rules for pawnshops

Tennessee pawnbrokers will have to abide by more regulations and pay higher fees after the Scott County Board of Supervisors passed an amended ordinance. The new ordinance, which went into effect immediately, raises the license fee for pawnbrokers to $200 and gives supervisors the authority to limit the location and number of pawnshops in the county.
