The U.S. Department of Commerce's Office of Textiles and Apparel and the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative, along with endorsements and support from major U.S. and Western Hemisphere textile, apparel and footwear associations are organizing the Sourcing in the Americas Pavilion & Summit at this summer's edition of the MAGIC Sourcing Show, which takes place Aug. 21-24 in Las Vegas. This event will feature a U.S. Department of Commerce Pavilion with exhibitors representing the entire Americas supply chain, as well as a Summit on Aug. 21-22. More

Minchin, professor of North American History, La Trobe University, Melbourne, Australia, for his upcoming book "Made in the USA: The Decline of the American Manufacturing Economy, 1950-2008." This project aims to explore the decline of manufacturing industries in the United States from 1950 through the present day. More

House Democrats launch 'Make it in America' agenda

On May 4, Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives launched a legislative initiative titled "Make it in America," intended to revitalize manufacturing in America, create new good-paying jobs, and make our nation more secure.
