Firearms Equality Movement gaining momentum
Ammo Land
The newly emerged Firearms Equality Movement is gaining more steam among manufactures and gun rights supporters alike. The firearms industry, in reaction to the governor of New York ramming through the NY SAFE Act which banned AR-15 style rifles, has seen multiple manufactures revise their firearms sales polices to restrict LEO and police agencies from only buying the same level of firepower as is allowed for the average citizen of their state.

Ammo shortage hits shooters, retailers
Sullivan Journal
It's the form of gun control that few people saw coming. No ammo. At least, certain types of ammunition has become extremely hard to find and very expensive when it surfaces. The hunt for 9mm, .22-caliber, .380 and a few other popular bullets intensified after the Obama administration resurrected the gun control debate following the November election and Sandy Hook Elementary massacre in December.

Few Texas gun owners seem to be sweating DC push for new limits
The Dallas Morning News
In Texas, all the talk in Washington, D.C., about background checks and banning firearms seems like just noise far, far away. "There's an attitude in Texas. We're a little bit complacent, because we don't feel they're going to come down here and do that to us," said Don "Dusty" Hathorne, a cowboy action shooter and staunch opponent of gun control. At the Texas State Rifle Association convention and gun show, the mass shooting at a Connecticut elementary school and a push by the White House and congressional Democrats to tighten gun laws were clearly on people's minds.

The Associated Press via Lubbock Avalanche-Journal
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has delayed a decision on the endangered species status of the lesser prairie chicken and reopened the public comment period on the proposed listing for the threatened prairie grouse, which at one time was one of the most populous gamebirds on the southern plains, but now hangs on in just a few areas.

Alabama city wants power to 'disarm individuals' during crisis
Info Wars
Guntersville, Ala., Mayor Leigh Dollar is working with city officials to pass an ordinance that would give police the power to "disarm individuals" during a disaster, a chilling example of how the Second Amendment is being assaulted via the back door. The new rule would allow authorities to confiscate guns of "unruly" people during an extreme weather event such as the April 2011 tornadoes or any other emergency. The ordinance states officers could disarm individuals, if necessary, reports ABC 31. "Dollar says the proposal is just way to give officers more authority to protect themselves."

'Gun Owners Support Starbucks Day' mixes coffee and Second Amendment rights
TIME
Why are gun owners such big fans of Starbucks? The coffee giant is pretty tolerant about gun owners and its open-carry policy allows customers with firearms to enter its stores like any other customer. As long as you're abiding by local laws, your right to bear arms and your right to a skinny cinnamon dolce latte (no whip, no foam) are guaranteed.
