    OESP Forum
    OESP
The Executive Board of OESP invites you to join us for a planning session to be held Aug. 5-6. A number of years ago we regularly held Service Manager's Forums. It allowed a group of industry service professionals to sit down together in an environmental that was conducive to work. We would discuss issues faced by our companies and ways that we might address those issues. We discussed the education that was needed and more. It also allowed us to put together association plans for the future including the budget needed.

This forum will be similar in nature but more expansive. We invite any of our members to join us, including manufacturers. We are all in this together.

We will have a dinner the night of Aug. 5. It is amazing how much is discussed through dinner. So consider joining us at the new Kalahari Resort, in Pocono Manor, Pennsylvania. Help us build a strong and successful future!

    Nashville Business Journal
John Jenkins wants to bring high-tech tools to a low-tech world. He's the CEO of Discovery Sound Technology, a Nashville company that offers audio diagnostics and cloud analytics for HVAC systems. That's a sector typically lagging behind in innovation, according to Jenkins, and one ripe for change. The current product, which includes an ultrasonic listening device and backend database, allows a technician to more efficiently analyze an HVAC system and predict possible weaknesses before they happen.

Email marketing gets new persona with artificial intelligence
    Forbes
Every few years the email marketing industry goes into defensive mode when it is suggested that email is dying, becoming obsolete or otherwise broken. Inevitably it is argued that email should be, or will be, replaced with social media because the former is a static form of communication and it has been ruined by spam and phishing attempts. Email marketing, in particular, is viewed as one-sided and prone to misinterpretation. All that said, email and email marketing is still the best means of connecting with customers.
